Better late than never- last Sunday outfit. It came together as I went along, starting with the lace skirt (in the middle of winter, I can't help it) and I was very much pleased with the final result. Sort of Russian-looking, isn't it? I guess the hat has its own say... Beware another photo overload!

Trousers again! My staple in this weather, but I miss spring terribly. I miss the warmth, the sun, heck, I even miss the rain - as long as there's no snow. To feel a little bit better in this miserable long winter, I like adding some colour to my daily outfits. So, proudly presenting 'Little Red Riding (Hood) Beret':
I have been admiring the work of the very talented Lucy Levenson for a while now and when I saw these cute little key rings it was - as is often the case - love at first sight. I usually find it very difficult to choose only one item which is why, of course, two of these lovely doggies came in the post yesterday!
Meet Lucy - the red dachshund, middle left, with the Union Jack, and Terence, the green terrier, middle right. Lucy as a tribute to its designer and Terence for obvious reasons (the breed!). They're the sweetest things you can possibly imagine.
I have been following Gretel's blog for quite some time now. She's an incredibly talented artist and a really lovely person. I cannot begin to imagine how it feels to be in her shoes. I'd love to help.
Gretel, please know you're in my thoughts and in my prayers.
We're having a day off. Celebrating with my boy getting ready for his piano competition next week and the ninth anniversary of our choir - I've made a delicious cake with chocolate buttercream icing (more on that to come)... Anyway, lots of music!
My outfits seem to have a pattern these days. And some items tend to repeat themselves on a regular basis. Despite a closet bursting at the seams there is a narrow selection laid out on my chair which I quickly grab when it's time to leave the house. Hopefully I'll get more creative come spring :)
