 Am officially a VBB - a very bad blogger :( Time seems to fly and what with all sorts of things to be done - from PTA meetings to home improvements I can't seem to be able to find the time to blog.

 Here are some snippets of my summer outfits

to church one Sunday 

and later for a friend's 50th birthday party. 

It was a wonderful day.

Some More Summer Memories

In August, we embarked on our traditional hiking trip to the north of the country with a large group of friends. Nothing works better for the children's motivation than the company of their peers (and a touch of stimulating music)...

Goodbye, Summer

Listening to the raindrops making lots of noise on our roof and wrapping myself in a warm cardi I think about the days not so long ago when all we needed to go through the day was a light summery top and a pair of shorts. Sigh ...

Blossoms & Stripes

Another summer outfit, 

and one of the favourites as well! 

I love pattern mixing and the huge blossoms on my Joules shirt seemed to have been calling for the subtle stripes on the bermuda shorts.

Throw in a chunky leather belt and a pair of fun sandals and you're set to go!

A tiny bit of tan as an accessory doesn't hurt either...

Sweet Memories...

... of our hiking on the coast! No, we didn't lie on the beach and splash in the sea all day every day, of course not. There were two certain young persons in our company who would have preferred it that way but oh no, it wasn't meant to be.

Our first stop was this gorgeous little church on top of the hill above the bay...

... with this crucifixless crucifix at the main altar...

... and there was an old painting of the local legend to be seen as well. 

There is a huge stone cross on top of the hill not far away from the church...

... and the views are breathtaking throughout the entire hike.

We're putting it on repeat for next year!

Seaside Outfits

Some outfits I wore during our stay at the seaside: 

1 Boden sandals & dress, ancient straw hat (used to be my Mum's), best friend's leather bag, angel pendant, Boden bracelets & sunglasses

 2 Northbrook bermudas, Benetton leather belt, Boden top, local store wooden disk necklace

3 Cath Kidston skirt, Boden top, local supermarket leather belt, angel earrings, Cruciani bracelet, Boden bracelets, self-made leather bow bracelet & wooden rosary bracelet

Looking suspiciously like a Boden ad... :)

Blossoms Of All Sorts

Some pretty blossoms on this pretty Sunday! The weather has been lovely today and everything seems to be in bloom right now. Even the silk flowers... :)

My lovely orchid is going all crazy again (and I'm not very well-known for being able to keep a plant or a flower alive, mind you!)

My desk is blooming (in silk)...

... and so is my ancient summer bag!

So pretty, don't you think?

Ranunculi, these are called, apparently. I love the sound of their name, if nothing else!
