Blossoms, Polka Dots & Colours

Originally, I wanted to do one of those 'three things' posts. Then I realized that there were more items on each of the first three photos anyway. So I added another one, just for fun. These are a few things that make my heart happy these days:

- a very pretty Cath Kidston flask

- some totally gorgeous-looking (100 % natural!)
balms from Figs & Rouge

- two breathtakingly pretty handmade crochet purses, gift from my little girl's best friend
(one for me and one for my girl)

- a lovely mini umbrella from Joules

These Are A Few Of My Favourite Things...

Goodness me, it's been a fortnight, and we haven't even been away on holiday yet! I had a translating job to finish, and even though I spent a lot of time at my computer, I didn't really find any extra time for the blogging. I did follow your updates, my dear blogging friends, and left the odd comment or two, just to let you know I was still there!

Anyway, before I actually embark on my proper blogging holiday, let me share a few of my favourite things - most of them have already been seen on the blog but not really from up close. So here you go:

- my beautiful giraffe pin -
from one of those lovely craft shops in the capital

- colourful beads from the local supermarket
(would you believe it)

- and another lot :)

- my absolutely gorgeous Joules tweed satchel...
love love love it!

- my equally gorgeous Cath Kidston clutch

- and last but not least,
my favourite summer earrings
(in the shape of my favourite fruit ever!)

So, when the dog bites,
when the bee stings,
when I'm feeling sad... :)

Three Things

It's been a while since my last 'Three Things' post. I can't really remember when it was, actually. I like doing this, though. It reminds me to focus on not the most important, yet a-lot-of-joy-bringing things in life. Like silk scarves and cotton handkerchiefs and handmade brooches and skirts with house prints... you know, that kind of things.

- my silk scarf from a fair-trade shop
in the capital,
with the most precious
dragonfly brooch from Dear Emma

- my beloved CK handkerchief
with a sweet blue tit brooch
from Dear Emma

- one of my recent purchases
(love at first sight, obviously) -
CK Seaside Cottage Stripe skirt!

Big day tomorrow :)

Dear Cath...

... I'd love to travel in style :)

Anywhere, really.
Well, home, really.
To the UK :)

Oh Summer, Where Art Thou?

Goodness me, I've done it again - I've taken an unplanned long break from blogging. Sorry about that. Another thing is, I can't promise never to do that again - in fact, it is highly likely that it will happen any time soon... I'll do my best to keep you posted, though!

I guess we have said goodbye to summer, we may experience an odd warm day in the following weeks if we're lucky, but my bet is that this outfit can be put away for a year...

I'm wearing:

- sandals - Cath Kidston
- shorts - McKinley
- V-neck top - local boutique
- sunglasses - M&S
- bag - made it myself :)
- watch - birthday present from my parents
- bracelet - Alessi (partly self-made)

Three Things

I'm cheating a little bit, I'm posting five things on three pictures but never mind. These are some accessories I just had to have for the Jubilee celebrations last month. Aren't they all adorable?

The key rings and the Union Jack heart pin are from Accessorize (which is now available in our capital, yay!). Very British (although, sadly, most probably made in China...).

I made the above necklace myself, from bits and bobs I found in my little treasure chest :)

Last but not least, as always, a gorgeous purse from Cath Kidston. Love at first sight, as you can well imagine  - florals, mother-of-pearl buttons, Union Jack - what's not to love?

Long live the Queen!
