Sabiona, Merano & San Candido...

... in Italian and Saeben, Meran & Innichen in German. Three gorgeous places with bilingual names.

Saeben is a stunning Benedictine nunnery on top of a hill - their 'holy mountain' - overlooking a precious little town of Chiusa in South Tyrol / Italy.

Meran is a spa town surrounded by mountains, well-known and appreciated for its mild climate.

There is absolutely breathtaking scenery all around.

Our last stop was a small market town of Innichen - delightful!

Even the local graveyard looked stylish...

There, enough about our trip. Usual blogging service (outfits, crafting, favourites...) resumes tomorrow.

Until then!

Innsbruck, Neustift, Brixen

The weather in Innsbruck was ghastly so we spent most of our time indoors.

Not complaining, though.

A not-too-long bus ride across the Alps...

... and we were greeted by glorious sunshine!

These are some absolutely divine places on our planet.

And not too far away from home, so hopefully we can re-visit!

For our silver wedding anniversary, perhaps?

Three Things & Happy Birthday To A&B!

Exactly a year ago today I started Angels & Blossoms. Happy birthday to my little blog! On average, I've got a lovely new follower every fortnight in the past year. Thank you all! I've also passed my two-hundred-blog mark recently, so there's plenty to celebrate! Don't worry, I'm making plans... There's a giveaway in sight!

I'm celebrating my one-year-anniversary with three things that make me happy today:

- my lovely new butterfly tablecloth

- a precious little trinket box

- some pretty floral hankies

Happy birthday, Angels & Blossoms!

Six Years & A Pink Butterfly

My little girl is turning six today. I know it's a cliche but it truly and honestly seems she's just been born. My little baby.

She's grown into a self-confident young lady, incredibly smart and joy to be with.

I'm very blessed.

Granny Square Headband

Voila! My very first Granny Square product!

A lovely colourful headband.

I was thinking about making a slim scarf but then decided to make a headband. A scarf would require more squares and I wanted something now! quick! as soon as possible! I'd love to make a long & wide granny square scarf one day, though.

I'm really pleased with my crocheting skills if you don't mind my saying so...!

Black Outfit

Yesterday's outfit. It slightly reminds me of Audrey H. Only the outfit, of course.

I really like Audrey H. I think she was one of the most beautiful women. Ever. With absolutely the best sense of style. There. That's what I think.

I also really like my black Buffalo flats. Unfortunately, they're on the uncomfortable side. My feet are between sizes 3 and 4 and with flats I often have to go with 4 if I want to keep the shoes on my feet. But these are not the softest shoes I've ever owned so a 3 is only so slightly tight-ish. I would definitely have lost a 4, though. I tried it on. It didn't fit. When I purchased the shoes a few years ago the lady at the shoe shop described them as 'so Louis Vuitton, aren't they?'... They definitely didn't have Louis' price tag!

The cropped trousers were my summer staple this year - as I wore black for a while. I love the embroidered detail!

The outfit:

flats - Buffalo London
fishnets - local shop
cropped trousers - Wallis
trench coat - Zara

P.S.: I realise the outfit doesn't appear to be entirely black but I'm wearing a black cardi under the coat!

Boden Skirt Update

Remember this pretty floral number? They said early December but guess what... it's here! And it's gorgeous. You'll be seeing a lot of it this autumn...

They got the size right this time, yay!

Pink! Allsorts & Ballerinas

Today's outfit. Pic taken outside my parents' house. (Self-timer. Can't you tell?)

We had a really warm day. People with normal body temperature felt no need for a cardi. I'm not one of them, I'm afraid. My BT is very low. Never mind, this only brings more styling options...

I'm wearing:

flats - Boden (girls)
cropped jeans - Wallis
cardi - Zara
shirt - Playlife
teacup earrings (self-made from doll's house tea set)
these brooches

Some details:

See you!

First Attempt At Granny Squares

I've always wanted to be able to crochet these little squares. With a little help of my Mum and a lot of help of this absolutely brilliant tutorial I've finally mastered the pattern!

I've been crocheting all evening. I'm absolutely exhausted now. I don't know yet what I'll make, I'm just glad I've figured it out.

And too tired to hide the ends... More on this to come!

Another Boden Skirt...

... I have fallen in love with. I ordered it a few weeks ago and was told to wait for about a month to get it. Then, all of a sudden, it was shipped after only a few days. Alas, it came in the wrong size, it was too big, and I had to return it. Now I'll have to wait until early December to get it right - hopefully...

But I think it's worth it. It's absolutely gorgeous!

Three Things...

...that put a smile on my face on this wet and rainy September Friday.

Two scented candles I found at a supermarket in our holiday resort at the seaside.

Two lovely plastic spoons from Rice - I got the inspiration for this little display from the lovely Lucy of Attic24.

Three brooches: a wooly sheep I bought in Inverness years and years ago, a felt pink coconut wheel from British Cream Tea on Etsy (lovely seller!) and a miniature painted wooden button from the very talented Fiona Macneil via Etsy.

...This is supposed to be a late summer day.
Come again another day.

That's basically all I have to say...

I'm wearing (and carrying):

flats - Boden (girls' catalogue)
skinny jeans - miss bonbon
trenchcoat - Zara
silk scarf - Lola, a lovely little shop in the capital
bag - Zara
shopper - Ulster Weavers
umbrella - Oilily

Sunshine?!
