Yay! Another Favourite!

Outfit, of course. I really really love the combination of purple & grey. Doesn't it look lovely? And I find it really inspiring how colours simply find me...

I've had this scarf for ages (honestly, I got it as a birthday present from my brother & his wife, then girlfriend, when I was still at the university; so, yes, ages ago!). I hadn't worn it for years, as it didn't really go with any of my outfits. I didn't like wearing purple for quite some time. Then I bought this skirt and became obsessed with finding items of clothing to match it. Little did I know (remember, actually) that I'd had exactly what I needed right in my closet!

I'm wearing:

- boots - Humanic
- tights - NKD
- skirt - Brora
- purple top - local shop
- skinny belt - H&M
- jacket - InWear
- scarf - local shop

Outdoors:

- coat / jacket - H&M
- scarf - Benetton (ancient birthday present, see above!)
- beret - Seeberger
- corsage - jysk
- leather bag - Zara

On another note, it's St Andrew's Day today. My boy's nameday, so another yay!!!

More Stripes

Last week's outfit. When wearing brogues was still an option. Not anymore. We were literally snowed in over the weekend. So wellies and snow boots are on at the moment. Oh horror.

Have I mentioned that I REALLY do not like snow? In case I haven't - I REALLY do not like snow. In fact, 'not like' is putting it really mildly. I don't mind rain, I don't mind the cold, but snow... that's another story.

Which is funny, really, as I was born in the middle of winter. January 6, the Epiphany. And I really like my birthday. Minus the white blanket, that is. The children love it, of course, but unfortunately, that doesn't make it any more likeable to me...

OK, back to the outfit now. I wore another pair of stripey tights. Love them to bits, great colour combination! So many options to put together from my closet! Well, this is the one I chose last week.

I'm wearing:

- leather brogues - Zara
- stripey tights - NKD
- skirt - Mango (hand-me-down from former colleague)
- cardi - Zara
- leather belt - H&M
- top - Mana
- duffle coat - no idea, it's ancient, I've had it for ages! I only remember that I bought it in Trieste, Italy, on an extremely snowy day...
- scarf - Peter James, borrowed from my husband
- beret - Seeberger
- corsage - jysk
- leather bag - Zara
- angel accessories
- earrings - local shop

Until tomorrow!

TweediNess, LoveliNess

These lovely badges came in the post last week. They're from Ness and they made my heart jump with joy!!!

This sweet little corsage was made by me. It's Harris Tweed - the only bits and pieces I could lay my fingers on were pretty little gift tags from Alison - but I just had to make something with this absolutely gorgeous fabric! So sorry for the gift tags - but I can wear them on my coat now, all five of them...!

Happy Friday, everyone!

P.S.: We're being snowed in... :(

I Love My Green Coat

I have to say this again since you see me wear it so often. Unfortunately, its season is coming to an end, it's getting considerably colder in our part of the world and the temperatures call for warmer attire.

So this is probably one of the last pics with my beloved garment this autumn. As part of another favourite outfit! You'd never believe it, would you...

I totally love the colours of this top - as I do the colours of all the items in this outfit. I sneakily caught the orangey colour in the top pattern in my socks - you can't see them with my cords down but I know they're there!

I'm wearing:

- leather brogues - Zara
- cords - WhiteSea
- ruffle patterned top - Zara
- mustard top - Mana
- coat - Boden
- scarf - Peter James (borrowed from my husband, gifted to him by me... as I knew it would come in handy!)
- beret - Seeberger
- corsage - jysk
- leather bag - Zara
- angel accessories

Oh, the colours!!!

Crafting With Felt

Autumn weekends are great! I haven't had so many opportunities for crafting in ages! I've been very productive. Have a look!

I made a swirley bracelet, inspired by these lovely bracelets from Aileen Clarke Crafts. Mine is not quite as sophisticated, it's only two little straps of felt rolled together and pierced through with a needle, but I love it. Especially the colours!

I also made an earring display! Quite clever, if I may say so myself! Two chopsticks & a piece of felt - voila!

Last but not least - felt Christmas heart ornaments, inspired by these. Thank you, Abercorn & Co.!

I feel so creative!

Herringbone & Stripes

The herringbone pattern part belongs to the jacket - you can't see it properly and I haven't thought of taking a close-up so you'll just have to take my word for it. It is herringbone, I promise! The stripes bit, obviously, goes with the tights.

Another favourite outfit. I've been wearing a lot of favourites lately! What can I say, I'm one lucky girl...

Have I mentioned already that I absolutely adore stripey tights? Well, I do. I absolutely adore stripey tights. There. I've said it.

I'm also very much fond of my new scarf - it's soft and silky and I like the lacey edge a lot - it really brightens up any outfit!

You might remember similar earrings from yesterday's post - I purchased two pairs of the same design in two different colour combinations. I like it when that happens. When I find something that I really like I'm always thrilled if I can purchase the same item in various colour schemes...

I'm wearing:

- leather brogues - Zara
- tights - NKD
- skirt - EKJeans
- top - local shop
- corsage (on top) - gift with purchase from Kesidov
- necklace - Accessorize
- this bracelet
- earrings - local shop
- beret - Seeberger
- corsage (on beret) - jysk
- jacket - InWear
- scarf - local shop
- leather bag - Zara
- brolly (old!) - Scottish shop in the capital

I'll say it again: I love autumn!!!

Leather & Lace

Only in accessories, though. Scarf, bag & boots. I just like the alliteration, hence the title of this post.

I'm wearing:

- boots - Alpina (local brand, had them for ages, very much worn-in and comfy)
- skinny jeans - Miss Bonbon
- top - Labod (local brand)
- cardi - local clothes shop
- belt - H&M
- trenchcoat - M&S
- scarf - local clothes shop
- beret - Seeberger
- corsage - jysk
- bag - Zara
- angel pendant
- earrings - local shop

Happy Monday (what's left of it...)!

Love Those Boots!

These boots haven't made it to my blog yet, even though I've had them for ages. I got them on sale about seven years ago - it was, as usual, love at first sight... I saw the embroidery and I was hooked. It was also right after I'd lost a large amount of weight and up to that point I hadn't been able to find boots to fit me. So, double 'Yay!'

I wore them a lot the first season, and after that I occasionally 'forget' about them, so after, say, a season of 'rest' I find a 'new' pair of boots in my closet! How very clever...

Aren't they gorgeous?

I'm wearing:

- boots - Stroll
- cords - White Sea
- belt - H&M
- cardi - Tulchan
- top - Labod (local brand)
- beret - Seeberger (missed the obligatory corsage, oops!)
- angel accessories (pendant, bracelet)
- earrings - local shop
- this bracelet

Miniature Crafting

I love making things. I particularly like making little things that I can put in my pocket (I don't really, I just like the idea that I could do that if I wanted). When I saw this gorgeous felt Christmas tree on Julia's blog I immediately had to make one for myself. As I didn't have any thick felt at hand I decided to make a favourite - a miniature! I love it so much!!!

The next miniature craft is a Granny Square. Remember my post about Granny Squares? Well of course, I had to make a mini one as well. It took a while but again, I absolutely loved the result.

Last but not least, a miniature rosary. I got this tiny little cross several years ago when my husband and I made a pilgrimage to Assisi, Italy (the birthplace of St. Francis & St. Clare). I used to wear it on a delicate gold chain and later transformed it into a little rosary. Sweet, isn't it?

To give you an idea of the actual size of these miniatures, here they are on the palm of my hand:

Which one is your favourite?

A Bunch Of Favourites - Again!

What can I say - I'm repeating my outfits (almost)!
I can't help it, though, I really love this coat...

...I truly and honestly love this skirt...

Berets with corsages have been my staple forever...

I always eagerly await boots-appropriate weather...

I rarely leave my home without a brooch or two... or three....

A belt? Yes, please! Especially if the room is warm enough to take the roll-neck off!

So here's a plethora of bad-quality photographs (I still haven't managed my self-timer skills...) for you to ... enjoy!

I'm wearing:

- boots - Humanic
- tights - Polzela (local brand)
- skirt - Boden
- grey top - H&M
- pink tank top - Mexx (for girls)
- skinny belt - H&M
- roll-neck - Benetton
- coat - Boden
- beret - Seeberger
- corsage - Accessorize
- usual accessories!

GorgeousNess

Just when I thought that my credit card would have a rest for a while I came across this beautiful website (thank you, Hen of HenHouse!).

It was love at first sight.

I'm happy to say the shop delivers to all parts of the world...

This might get interesting at one point...

Well, Christmas is coming and my birthday is just around the corner...

I realise I've been doing a lot of advertising lately - there are just so many pretty things around that I want to share with you all!

Anyway, I'll let you know when the postman comes...

Until then... you might actually see an outfit or two in between!

Oh Etsy...

Another must-have... So many things I adore about it. It's a bookmark. I love books, therefore I love bookmarks. I love Scotland. It's 100% Scottish. I love handmade things. It's handmade, guaranteed. Last but not least, Etsy has been one of my favourite shopping places for the past year & a half, and Aileen's shop is the one you must visit.

Hurry up, Mr Postman!
