A Winter Coat In April?

OK, I admit, this set of photos was taken a couple of weeks ago - forgotten and later rediscovered on my camera! Since I liked the outfit I'm posting it anyway.

I have always liked mixing elegant and casual pieces, and the classic camel coat paired with a pair of floral plimsols is exactly what I have in mind when approaching the subject! It's quite cool, isn't it? I'm not quite sure I'm supposed to put that in writing, though ... :)

The indoor version of the outfit was casual from head to toe: a pair of skinny jeans and a jumper! I threw in a floral scarf and a couple of corsages for good measure!

I purchased these Cath Kidston plimsols last year - they're exactly the same as my Converse All Stars yet at a fraction of the price! Go figure!

Outfit details:

- plimsols - Cath Kidston
- skinny jeans - Joules
- jumper - Boden
- silk floral scarf - Laura Ashley
- corsages - lovely Alix from used-to-bees
- coat - Benetton
- tote - Hunter
- angel ring!

Brogues In Action, Plus More Printed Trousers

Another version of my uniform.
Slightly more stylish than a tracksuit (I hope)
yet just as comfortable.

Meet another pair of my printed trousers:

Quite chic, don't you think ? :)

And finally, the most divine pair of shoes in action:

My feet are happy
(and my heart is jumping for joy!).

Outfit details:

- brogues - Joules
- trousers - local shop
- leather belt - H&M
- polo top - Joules
- cardigan - Boden
- corsage - Lucy Levenson
- coat - Boden
- scarf - hand-crafted; from a lovely shop in the capital, purchased years ago
- leather bag - borrowed from BFF

Happy, happy, happy!

Of Foxes And Hares

I've been singing my praise to Boden lately but I'm equally (if not more) impressed with another British brand, Joules. I mean, the details on this jacket? Perfection personified.

And I won't even start with the brogues.
Hand-crafted in Britain.
 Need I say more?

I'm saying it again ... perfection :)

London Purchases

Right, so, when I'm in Britain I simply have to shop. I urgently need to bring home something from my beloved island. No matter how trivial the purchase, it reminds me of the happy times spent in paradise...

My weekend in London was no exception, of course. I brought back some lovely 'souvenirs'... Mostly from Monsoon & Accessorize, don't ask me why, I seem to have focused on these brands this time!

- sooo, I got this lovely pair of white leather sandals from Monsoon

- a couple of purses from Accessorize - I've already re-embellished them...

- an Accessorize scarf

- a tiny owl pendant from Accessorize, sold as a mobile phone charm, but I put a key ring on, I find it much prettier...

- a pair of flip-flops from Accessorize - flip-flop perfection!

- this little frilled cardi from Monsoon - so versatile!

- a headband from Monsoon (for girls) - both my little girl & I will use it

- last but not least, I bought a copy of Mollie Makes magazine and made this lovely corsage from the kit that came with it!

Pretty, isn't it?

P.S.: We also got some presies for the kiddies, naturally.

Pink Green Fair Isle Polka Dots

I'm very partial to 'outfit details' shots these days. I believe they tell a lovely story if you put your mind into them!

This has been my dream come true - apple green shoes & pink socks with white polka dots :)

My lovely cardi from Ness - my birthday present to myself :)

A new bracelet I made the other day - inspired by this one - the heart used to be a pin, hardly ever worn, and now I wear it either on a chain or on a bracelet. Love it!

Let's Go To Cologne

... in lilac! I'm sorry for the rather peculiar pictures today - I'm having some severe problems with my computer again and I wasn't able to edit my outfit pics. So I'm only giving you parts of my outfit as the photos of the whole thing really need some editing (as in cutting the edges and things like that).

Anyway, I really wanted to show you the latest addition to my shoe collection. Aren't these lilac Colognes from Oxygen absolutely adorable? Which has only just made me realise that you haven't yet seen my green Mary Janes as part of an outfit even though I wear them a lot but I promise to mend that a.s.a.p.

I totally adore the green Oxygens but I do find these lilac Colognes slightly more versatile. They work better with most of my outfits so my guess is - both pairs will get an enormous amount of wear! Great purchase, if I may say so myself!

Soooo, today's list includes:

- shoes - Oxygen (check yesterday's post!)
- socks - Polzela (local brand)
- cargos - Topshop
- leather belt - H&M
- ruffle top - Zara Girls
- waistcoat - Miss Selfridge

Essential Oxygen

After having purchased my very first pair of Oxygen shoes I think I'm in love. They're very comfortable and the colours are absolutely stunning! I totally adore my apple green Mary-Janes and don't really have any intentions of spending any more money any time soon (even though they're very sensibly priced) but there are some lovely examples in their shop which I wouldn't mind seeing in my wardrobe...

- lilac Colognes

- purple Lisbons

- red Dresdens

. . .
. . .
. . .

P.S.: And speaking of wishlists, isn't this an absolutely and utterly and totally adorable must-have (in Rose)?
