LGD

I like this Boden dress very much. It's so easy to style! It was last year's purchase and worth every penny. I wore it constantly last winter, it's pure wool and really warm, yet not too bulky. It's dark grey, which I prefer to black. Any splash of colour can be added as well, so no problem with my accessory overload :) I actually went easy on accessories this time ...

I went out in my good old brown tweedie coat and my favourite woolly scarf. No fuss!

Outfit details:

- leather boots - Alpina (local brand)
- tights - home closet  :)
- coat - local clothes store
- scarf - Robert Mackie of Scotland
- owl brooch - I made it
- beret - Seeberger
- dress / tunic - Boden
- silk scarf - Joules
- crochet bead bracelet - Christmas art market in the capital
- angel pendant - birthday gift

I love my Little Grey Dress :)

Keeping Warm

I came across this lovely felting wool the other day. Only one piece, I'm afraid, that's all there was.

I really loved the colour but I didn't have any intention whatsoever to actually give felting a try ... I wanted to use it for my crochet bliss :) So I did. I came up with this:

A neck-warmer! What a clever idea!

Then I got some (more of this) felting wool in red as well - and produced another, a bit longer neck-warmer (one you can use as a fake roll-neck...). I decided it was a perfect present for a crochet-loving friend of mine :)

She liked it.

May it keep her warm!

L.A.F.S.

Love at first sight, that is. I'm not really looking forward to dark, cold, rainy winter days but they will be much easier to bear with this gorgeous Joules coat.

Waiting for the delivery, once again ...

Sunday Best

Better late than never- last Sunday outfit. It came together as I went along, starting with the lace skirt (in the middle of winter, I can't help it) and I was very much pleased with the final result. Sort of Russian-looking, isn't it? I guess the hat has its own say... Beware another photo overload!

A Blossom, A Butterfly & A Cupcake

Makes sense, right? Anyway,
it will if you check the photos.

A casual errand-running
start-of-the-week outfit.

Still in the middle of winter,
with plenty of snow to be had.

So keeping warm is still one of the main factors
when putting together an outfit.

I looove the details on my Joules jacket.
Aren't they adorable?

So, this explains the post title.
Nothing fancier, really.

Outfit details:

- boots - Alpina (local brand)

Keeping It Casual

With all the snow outside (and it's been snowing again today, yikes!) I don't really feel like dressing up, especially if I have nowhere particular to go - as I work from home I could spend all day in my PJs in front of my computer for all I care but I do like to put on some 'proper clothes' in the morning :)

This pair of skinny corduroys is lovely, soft and warm, but it comes with my 'usual problem' - I could fit two bottoms in the upper part and without the belt I would definitely lose my trousers! The legs fit perfectly fine though, thank you very much. So despite the baggy feeling I love to put them on!

The cardi is one of my favourite winter staples - it's from a Tulchan online sale several years ago. It's not too fitted so it doesn't really go well with skirts but with skinnies it looks great; not to mention how warm it feels (which is a very important piece of information in my book).

I totally adore the delicate embroidery on the front, and there's a little bit on the back as well - I forgot to take a picture of the pretty detail but if you know Tulchan knitwear you probably have an idea what I'm talking about.

This is how I get to be bundled up outside - oh so cosy and warm:

Outfit details:

- boots - Alpina (local brand)
- corduroys - Corazon
- quilted down coat - Corazon
- leather belt (on coat) - Jack Jones
- scarf - Tait&Style
- beret - Seeberger
- corsage (handmade) - crafts boutique in the capital
- cardigan - Tulchan
- top - Boden
- leather belt - H&M
- angel brooch - 10th wedding anniversary present from my husband
(this brooch sparked my totally insane angel collection!)

Have a lovely (almost) weekend!
