Out & About

A fortnight ago we visited

We saw the magnificent cathedral
with one of the most beautiful Gothic chapels.

The Pieta in the chapel is a truly magnificent work of art.

I had to take a photo of St Andrew,
of course, the name patron of my boy ...

Then I had a good look at the ceiling. Oh my!

Later on we spent some time in the surrounding wooded hills. Came across a salamander (just spat out by a snake but my camera was too slow ...)!

On top of the hill there was a huge cross and a lovely sign ...

... with a little bell which of course was rung several times ...

Isn't it pretty?

The cross towers over the beautiful old city.

At the castle, there were some lovely shows for the tourists ...

... and we even spotted a very authentic jester!

We had a lovely day.

On A Cycling Pilgrimage

Hello, September, my favourite month of the year! The weather is getting autumnal but the memories of the long hot summer are still fresh and breezy... Here are some pics of our 60-mile cycling trip from the capital to the Basilica of the National Shrine in Brezje and back in late July. Absolutely gorgeous. I live in a beautiful country :)

And I really enjoy cycling!

Enjoying The Capital

Sometime in July my Mum, my little girl and I visited the capital. There was an art fair on the river bank and my cousin had a lovely stall there with her absolutely gorgeous products that we really wanted to see. It was an incredibly enjoyable day.

- no idea what this was about, but I loved the view :)

- no comment needed, right?

- a pretty square by the river

- my cousin's stall - oh, the colours!

- and some more...

- a little something for 'green' cyclists...

A day to remember!
