Break Over & Great Read

Right, summer break is over, the children back to school. I can't really say the summer is over as there hasn't been any proper summer around at all. So, back to our usual daily routine it is. Which also provides less time for one of my favourite occupations - reading. This is the book I've just finished:

Loved it to bits!

Put Your Washing On The Line

An outfit in more autumnal colours. It's actually warm enough to go out like this. At the end of October. And I don't live in the south of Spain.

It feels more like wearing marine stripes and bermuda shorts. Might do, come to think of it. To make the most of this year's Indian summer :)

Outfit details:

- shoes - Camper
- skinny jeans - Boden
- top - local boutique
- jacket - Tom Tailor
- necklace - M&S
- brooch - handmade by my friend
- bag - Etsy

In this weather,
the washing should be dry in a jiffy!

Peace Of Mind

My (more or less) daily walk takes me along these fields with the tiny church spire in the distance. I love this view. It's so calming, so relaxing. I'm grateful for my little world.

On A Cycling Pilgrimage

Hello, September, my favourite month of the year! The weather is getting autumnal but the memories of the long hot summer are still fresh and breezy... Here are some pics of our 60-mile cycling trip from the capital to the Basilica of the National Shrine in Brezje and back in late July. Absolutely gorgeous. I live in a beautiful country :)

And I really enjoy cycling!

I'm Back :)

Wow, it's been a month! We're back from our seaside holiday, back from our cycling tours, back from our hiking trips with friends... A week from tomorrow the children will be back in their classrooms, starting their music lessons, ballet class, religious lessons again... Yes, autumn is officially on the way!

We're still catching the last free moments to hang out with friends, celebrating birthdays, namedays, just-because days... and looking forward to spending time together in the cooler months as well!

We had a lovely time at the seaside, we spent nine days at our usual place on the Slovenian coast, we swam, we hiked, we cycled, we ate yummy food... I'll have some pictures ready for you as soon as I handle my camera :)

In the meantime, let me share my current reading with you, a fascinating story by an intriguing young author - I've only just begun reading the book but I have a feeling that it's going to be unputdownable. It's called The Tiger's Wife by Tea Obreht.

I'm sincerely looking forward to a new blogging season!

Nothing But Favourites

Another favourite! From a few weeks ago, sorry, but what with all my working projects it took me a while to get round to posting it. Apart from the photo below, featured in one of my gratitude posts...

I absolutely adore this outfit. The textures, the colours, the accessories, the lot. I love the thick black tights and the chic flats. I love my old jeans skirt and black roll-neck (can't be seen, actually). I love my tweedy jacket and Harris Tweed bag. And, last but not least, I loooove my Mum's Laura Ashley scarf, my pink beret and my birdie brooch!

I'm wearing:

- flats - local boutique
- tights - local supermarket
- skirt - ek jeans
- roll-neck - Dorothy Perkins
- jacket - InWear
- scarf - Laura Ashley (borrowed from my Mum)
- beret - Seeberger
- bag - BlackHouse bags
- brooch - hand-made by Marysia

Oh, and I love the sun!

Being Creative Gallery - Autumn

OK, I realise this is getting slightly out of control. Last month I posted one of my old projects. This month, I'm not even posting my own project! But, with both children starting school again, which also includes their afternoon activities, and with my husband still being partly disabled (left wrist still in plaster cast, hopefully only three days to go!), I simply cannot find any time for crafting. I hope things will get better next month :)

However, autumn is my favourite season and I really didn't want to miss this month's project. And, since creativity runs in the family, I paid a visit to my Mum's house. Ta-dah! I'm presenting one of her latest projects, her 'dry leaves & flowers' wall - isn't it gorgeous?

She had been collecting the material for quite some time, and managed to finish the display a while ago. She's very happy with the result, and so am I! I think it's absolutely and utterly gorgeous!

Sooo, please excuse me for not really being creative this month, I promise to make something for the October gallery!

I Love My Green Coat

I have to say this again since you see me wear it so often. Unfortunately, its season is coming to an end, it's getting considerably colder in our part of the world and the temperatures call for warmer attire.

So this is probably one of the last pics with my beloved garment this autumn. As part of another favourite outfit! You'd never believe it, would you...

I totally love the colours of this top - as I do the colours of all the items in this outfit. I sneakily caught the orangey colour in the top pattern in my socks - you can't see them with my cords down but I know they're there!

I'm wearing:

- leather brogues - Zara
- cords - WhiteSea
- ruffle patterned top - Zara
- mustard top - Mana
- coat - Boden
- scarf - Peter James (borrowed from my husband, gifted to him by me... as I knew it would come in handy!)
- beret - Seeberger
- corsage - jysk
- leather bag - Zara
- angel accessories

Oh, the colours!!!

Leather & Lace

Only in accessories, though. Scarf, bag & boots. I just like the alliteration, hence the title of this post.

I like this outfit very much. Very comfortable and quite chic, don't you think? In a sporty - casual kind of way...

I'm wearing:

- boots - Alpina (local brand, had them for ages, very much worn-in and comfy)
- skinny jeans - Miss Bonbon
- top - Labod (local brand)
- cardi - local clothes shop
- belt - H&M
- trenchcoat - M&S
- scarf - local clothes shop
- beret - Seeberger
- corsage - jysk
- bag - Zara
- angel pendant
- earrings - local shop

Happy Monday (what's left of it...)!

A Bunch Of Favourites - Again!

What can I say - I'm repeating my outfits (almost)!
I can't help it, though, I really love this coat...

...I truly and honestly love this skirt...

Berets with corsages have been my staple forever...

I always eagerly await boots-appropriate weather...

I rarely leave my home without a brooch or two... or three....

A belt? Yes, please! Especially if the room is warm enough to take the roll-neck off!

So here's a plethora of bad-quality photographs (I still haven't managed my self-timer skills...) for you to ... enjoy!

I'm wearing:

- boots - Humanic
- tights - Polzela (local brand)
- skirt - Boden
- grey top - H&M
- pink tank top - Mexx (for girls)
- skinny belt - H&M
- roll-neck - Benetton
- coat - Boden
- beret - Seeberger
- corsage - Accessorize
- usual accessories!
